Sustainable globalisation can change the world
In September 2021, HAZGO obtained its first silver EcoVadis sustainability rating. A trusted provider of business sustainability ratings and collaborative performance improvement tools for global supply chains, EcoVadis is the cornerstone of over 600 sustainable procurement programs within global value chains. It has been tested on over 75,000 companies across more than 200 industries in more than 160 countries.
CSR is the name of the game
HAZGO uses the EcoVadis platform to monitor its global supply chain sustainability rating. Based on easy-to-use scorecards, HAZGO and its partners are evaluated in a straightforward manner on a variety of corporate social responsibility (CSR) themes. The EcoVadis method covers four themes: environment, ethics, labour and human rights, and sustainable procurement.
“EcoVadis is a critical tool for HAZGO. We use it to continuously evaluate and improve our sustainability footprint, especially in our core business areas. As an easy-to-use and collaborative platform, EcoVadis helps point us and our partners in the right direction in regards to our corporate sustainability process and new initiatives,” explains Johan Lanoizelé, Quality & Compliance Manager, HAZGO.
Improve transparency and sustainability
EcoVadis sustainability recognition levels are based on an overall scorecard average of 0-100. There are four categories: Platinum (top 1%); Gold (top 5%); Silver (Top 25%) and Bronze (Top 50%). Overall scores below this average do not receive medal recognition.
HAZGO achieved a Silver medal rating, which places the company in the top 25% of all EcoVadis-evaluated companies across all industries.
