Launched in January 2021, MEDEXI combines the strengths of three specialized companies, each experts in their own fields. The new joint venture operates as an independent pharma logistics specialist with integrated temperature-controlled storage, advanced packaging and time-critical distribution capacity. Located at Brussels Airport, the MEDEXI site provides over 4000m2 of additional warehousing and office space.

MEDEXI brings together years of niche market expertise from HAZGO, MEDISTA and IVEMAR. IVEMAR is active in transportation and storage of goods that require special care, whereas MEDISTA is a specialized medical supply company that currently ensures local distribution of the COVID-19 vaccines. Together with HAZGO, these companies formed MEDEXI, a new Pharma Service Center that strengthens the pharmaceutical logistics chain at Brussels Airport, renown as the European pharma gateway per excellence.

MEDEXI provides a wide array of services for freight forwarders and pharmaceutical companies, ranging from critical cold-chain capacity, on-demand outsourcing, emergency solutions and advanced packaging. Its brand-new 2000 m2 warehouse is equipped with insulated cooling systems with highly accurate temperature-control equipment for pharmaceutical handling. MEDEXI has dry ice shippers and specialized refrigerated containers that guarantee a constant temperature for uninterrupted cold chain transportation, as well as several temperature storage zones in the warehouse: 15-25°C, 2- 8°C, -20°C and -70°C. Moreover, first lane access can be arranged via AVIAPARTNER, making MEDEXI an invaluable partner for handling pharmaceutical products at Brussels Airport.
